Iowa Senior All-Stars

On Saturday November 4th in Pella, Iowa the IATC wishes to recognize and honor seniors who have given so much to the sport we cherish.  After kicking off the return of the event after taking a year of, we are pleased to continue the renewed tradition. We plan on continuing the new format as we heard lots of good feedback from last year.

Qualifications

To be eligible to race in the All-Star races:

  • Entrant must be a Senior in high school
  • A Senior girl must have a confirmed time of 21:50 or faster achieved during the 2023 season on Varsity Bound
  • A Senior boy must have a confirmed time of 17:50 or faster achieved during the 2023 season on Varsity Bound
  • Entrant must have completed their season and currently be in good standing with their high school

Any Individual who does not meet the qualifications above is welcome to participate in the Open Race on the schedule below.

Registration Process

Coaches, Athletes, Parents, Fans may nominate a Senior’s inclusion in this event by simply completing the this form or emailing Meet Director Douglas Cutler at douglas.cutler@pellaschools.org.  Please include the Senior’s Full Name, Current High School the Senior runs for, and an email address for the entrant from which Coach Cutler can verify the Senior’s intention to attend and inquire to their desired uniform size.  The deadline for a Senior to notify Coach Cutler of their intended attendance is Tuesday November 1st.

Nominations are now closed. You can still show up at the Pella Sports park and run the Open race at 11:15. The cost to register in person will be $10.00.

BYOT: Bring Your Own Team!

Back by popular demand:  Instead of an East vs West format, the race will be scored by the formation of Senior Teams.  Does any Senior have a rival they have raced against for years, but would like to be teammates with for one race?  Would a particular Conference or Geographic Area like to join together to show off their best? Seniors registered will be encouraged to form a team of their choice from five to seven members.  Seniors who do not form a team and do not wish to be placed on a team may run as an individual.

Open Race Registration

Sign up for the Open Race at 11:15am.  Medals will be given to the Top Ten males and Top Ten females at the finish chute of the race.  Registration for this race is $5 if done by Tuesday October 31st, $10 on the day of the race. Pay upon arrival Saturday.

Venue Information

The Pella Sports Park is located at 393 Baseline Drive.

From Highway 163 (traveling east or west), use exit 44, head north on Adams Avenue, turn left onto Old Highway 163 proceed west for .3 miles. The Sports Park entrance drive will be on the right.
